This week’s Chicago Med is going to be a very busy episode according to the photos that NBC has released for the latest episode.
Wednesday’s installment “Do You Know The Way Home” is the show’s first episode since the fall, and starts off a few of the storylines that were alluded to previously. In some of the pictures that the network has made available you can see April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) working back in the ED alongside her ex-fiance and newly promoted chief Ethan Choi (Brian Tee). Chances are that will be awkward, since April and Choi’s relationship has been a bit frosty.
Elsewhere, Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) works another case with Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains). That’s not surprising since viewers know the show is spending more time on the relationship between those two characters, and the primary way that the writers flesh out those dynamics is by having the characters team up on cases. Will Natalie and Marcel end up sharing an emotional or flirty moment?
One cool if minor note: pay attention to the photo of Nate Santana as Dr. James Lanik. It’s a good sign that while Lanik is no longer head of the Emergency Department, the character is still here, because Nate Santana is a fun actor to watch. How will Lanik interact with the team now that he doesn’t have authority over them?
