Chicago PD season 7, episode 18 photos: Lines

NBC has officially released the photos for Chicago PD season 7, episode 18, and they reveal that the Intelligence Unit is involved in another sting operation to catch a criminal.
Wednesday’s installment “Lines” gets personal for Vanessa Rojas (Lisseth Chavez) when an old boyfriend of hers may be involved in a drug scheme. The episode will show just how far she could go to protect the person she used to love.
It seems like this case will not only affect Vanessa, but also her roommate and colleague Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos), as she’s seen in a few photos talking to Rojas. Hailey and Vanessa have been living together since the end of “Familia” and yet we haven’t seen either one at home, so it seems like this episode will finally provide that.
Another person that will drop by to talk to Vanessa is her boss Hank Voight (Jason Beghe). Vanessa is seen intently listening to him, and seems quite concerned in a few other photos. Whatever Upton and Voight tell her must really shake her up.
That’s understandable, in the episode promo, Rojas gets herself into some trouble when she deletes her ex-boyfriend’s footage from the team’s servers. How she would get herself out of that one, we’re not sure. Maybe she comes to clean to Voight. After all, he’s previously said “Tell me the truth so I can lie for you.”
Other members of the team are in this week’s pictures, too. Hailey and Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) are sitting unenthused at a table, while Vanessa stands alongside Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) in a separate corner. It’s likely they’ve split off into pairs to get the best angles for surveillance or whatever tactic they’re using to nab the suspect or suspects.
It appears that Vanessa is on her own for a time though, as she’s seen individually in two photos. In one of them, she’s holding her weapon in a firing position as she’s approaching a car. In another photo, she and Hailey are out and about, possibly canvassing the area.

It’s just a matter of if Vanessa’s personal connection will hinder the investigation more than has already been given up in the ads, not to mention what those actions could do to her future with the Intelligence squad. Here’s hoping Chicago PD doesn’t cut her off before she gets a chance to explain herself.
