Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer may no longer be part of the Chicago PD cast, but they will always be part of the Chicago PD family. They held down crucial aspects of the show for years, and were responsible for one of the most beloved romances in franchise history.
Both Spiridakos and Soffer decided to leave the show in the last few seasons, but they have remained close. So close, in fact, that all reports and rumors report to the actors dating in real life. People Magazine ran a piece on their alleged romance as far back as September.
Spiridakos and Soffer both spent time in France
Well, the rumors gained a whole new level of traction this week. Soffer posted a photo posing in front of the Eiffel Tower with his FBI: International co-star in late January. Fans obviously took this to mean he was visiting France for a shoot. Then, a week later, Spiridakos posted a photo in which she was in France.
One Chicago fans really got their detective hats on for this one. Soffer was in Paris shooting his new show, as evidenced by the landmark behind him. Spiridakos, on the other hand, was hanging out with a friend in Annecy, France.
It's worth noting that there's a six hour drive between Paris and Annecy, which is sizable. The thing is, if Soffer is working on FBI: International, and Spiridakos is traveling with him, she would likely have lots of free time to travel and explore.
They were romantically linked in September
This, of course, is all speculation stemming from those September reports. People noted that the two Chicago PD alum went on a vacation to Lisbon together in August 2024. They have also continued to hang out with PD cast members behind the scenes, and attending sporting events with them.
It didn't hurt, of course, that Soffer came back to PD and directed episodes will Spiridakos was still part of the cast. As recently as December, the actors posted photos of them on what appeared to be a date night. Spiridakos shared a candid of her and Soffer enjoying a "wine and cigar night" together.
The actors have a lot in common. Not only did they play a couple on multiple seasons of Chicago PD, but both went on to make appearances on FBI: International. Spiridakos played her PD character, and Soffer is currently playing a new character, Jay Hayden.
