It's always exciting when your favorite show make its way to another streaming service. Not only does it give fans another opportunity to rewatch from the beginning or check out favorite episodes from throughout the series, but it's also a chance for new fans to finally take the plunge and become acquainted with what they have been missing. This summer, it's Chicago PD's turn.

For the first time in its 13-season run (going on 14 seasons this fall!), Chicago PD will become available to streaming on Netflix. It's not the first One Chicago series to land on Netflix, though. Chicago Med spent a short amount of time on the streamer a few years ago, with select seasons reminding fans of the early days of the medical drama. Now, PD will do the same.

Chicago PD coming to Netflix in August 2026 in select territories

As What's on Netflix reported, Chicago PD will be making its Netflix streaming debut on August 1, 2026, but there's an incredibly unfortunate catch for fans in the United States. The series isn't currently planned to drop on Netflix US in August 2026, and it's unclear if the police procedural has plans to make its way to Netflix in the States at this time.

Chicago PD will be available to stream on Netflix in the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, Latin America, Australia, and other territories in Europe and Asia. That's a fair amount and wide range of worldwide territories that will gain access to the American drama series for likely the very first time. It's always exciting when hit shows are made available to a global audience.

While it's been confirmed that Chicago PD will be available to stream on Netflix around the world, the number of seasons that will drop on Aug. 1 hasn't been confirmed at this time. Even when certain broadcast shows drop on Netflix in the United States, the number of seasons that are added is always a question mark, but most of the time, it's not every single season.

Netflix typically adds a select number of seasons from shows produced by Universal Television in most circumstances, like when Law & Order recently joined the ranks on Netflix US with a limited number of seasons. For Chicago PD, expect a handful of seasons from the beginning of the show's run and as many as six seasons for this particular drop.

Chicago PD not coming to Netflix in the United States in August 2026 isn't out of the ordinary. Global territories often gain access to certain American television titles that are either added to the streamer in the US later or never come at all. We can keep our fingers crossed that the series will come to Netflix US soon, but for now, we can watch every season on Peacock.
