With the television season coming to a close for the fall due to the holidays, we’re beginning to learn how things will play out when episodes go on break. This is true for CBS’s FBI, which will air new episodes until December. When will the show go on break, and what do we know about the finale episode?

FBI season 8 has been off to a pretty good start, introducing us to Agent Stuart Scola’s new partner Eva Ramos, and continuing to show the team solving cases. Plus, we are also waiting to find out who will be promoted to Isobel’s spot since she has been offered a higher position within the FBI. There’s plenty to look forward to this season.

However, with the holiday season upon us, the show will soon be finished for 2025 before coming back in 2026.

What is most exciting about the finale is that it will air as a two-parter on Monday, Dec. 15, starting at 8/7c and finishing at 10/9c. The team will be in the middle of solving what appears to be a routine murder case before things take an unexpected turn.

TVLine revealed photos from the episode that seemed to showcase Jeremy Sisto’s Jubal Valentine. The synopsis for the first part, which is titled “Lone Wolf,” revealed that Jubal will have concerns when it appears his son, Tyler, needs assistance. This could be connected to a situation at school, or anything else. But it’s nice to get an update on Jubal’s family life, since he has been working to turn his life around and reconnect with his wife and kids.

In addition to his family situation, Jubal and the team will be working a case involving “three slain sex workers inside a brownstone.” Their investigation will then lead them to discovering the suspect has a bigger goal in mind.

The second episode, titled “Wolf Pack,” will follow the team as they look into who caused an attack that affected not only cell and internet services, but also prevented emergency services from providing aid. The synopsis hinted the culprits were involved with “a radical accelerationist movement fixated on resetting society.”

FBI is currently on a short break for the Thanksgiving holiday, but will return on Dec. 1 for two more episodes before the two-hour fall finale episodes air. The show will return February 23, 2026, airing just after the Winter Olympics finish the same month.

While the show is on hiatus, you can watch previous episodes on Paramount+.
