FBI: International only has a small handful of episodes left before the series ends for good, but things have been steadily falling into place as we get glimpses into not only potential character journeys, but also finding out information about some of the agents.
The season four, episode 19 episode to air focused on Mitchell and Smitty going undercover as a married couple trying to get intel regarding an American arms dealer who is in Vienna with stolen weapons in his arsenal. Mitchell is attempting to go in as a potential buyer while Smitty gains the confidence of the man’s wife, who also has her share of infidelities with women.
In order to gain her trust, Smitty worked her job as though she was interested, culminating in a kiss between the two when it became clear it might actually be real.
FBI: International is winding down its final season

She wanted to make sure that the wife saw a potential for their relationship if her husband and Wes worked together. However, by the end of the episode it was hinted that Smitty may not have been pretending as much as she appeared to be.
In addition, the episode also found Mitchell’s dad coming to Budapest in order to see his son. He still wants to make amends even though Mitchell is not interested. Plus, it also seems like his dad believes Mitchell is in a career he does not actually want, which could be partly why he is so reluctant to see him.
As the show comes to an end, we also saw that Cam and Andres had to be careful about their part in the mission since they were both being looked at for other job opportunities in the GS-14 position. This would allow them to have more experience to eventually lead at least one of them to possibly one day head the Fly Team.
The FBI spinoff will return to CBS on May 6

It’s hard to imagine the Fly Team being split up, even if we may not see it, we can at least end on a good note seeing the type of career path the characters are heading towards.
The next episode of FBI: International will air on Tuesday, May 6. After this episode, the last two episodes will air as part one and part two as the show ends its series run after four seasons.
