CBS is about to pull the FBI shows from its schedule (and the reason is so annoying)

Get ready FBI fans because we have yet another break ahead in the shows' current seasons.

Brace yourself FBI fans, we’re about to see FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted all taking an unexpected break… and that’s not even the worst part of the news.

As confirmed via the official CBS schedule for the week of March 3, there will be no new episodes of FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted airing on Tuesday, March 4. Typically when the shows take a week off, CBS airs reruns in their normal timeslots which allows fans to at least enjoy an encore of a previous episode as they wait for the next new episode. Unfortunately, that will not be the case on March 4.

Instead of airing reruns, CBS will be bringing viewers a night of special programming which will begin with a special presentation of The Price is Right at Night in the opening time spot typically occupied by FBI. The Price is Right at Night will then lead into CBS News: Presidential Address to the Joint Session of Congress, a 2-hour block of news covering the address with commentary from CBS News anchors.

While we understand the network’s need to clear its lineup to make room for coverage of the Presidential Address to the Joint Session of Congress, it is slightly unusual that the network decided not to simply air a rerun of FBI in the show’s normal 8 p.m. timeslot and instead decided to air a new episode of The Price is Right at Night. What seems to be the most likely reason behind this decision was that the network wanted to air new programming in the opening timeslot and because it aims to keep the FBI shows on a similar release schedule, it had to look to The Price is Right at Night.

The good news is that this won’t be an extended break for FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted. CBS’s schedule has all three hit series returning with new episodes on Tuesday, March 10. Details about the new episodes are being kept under wraps for the moment, so we’ll have to see what will await the various FBI teams when their fourteenth episodes arrive.

Of course, if you can’t wait until FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted return with their next new episodes in two weeks, you can always turn to Paramount+ to stream past episodes as you wait for the shows to return with new episodes.  The streaming service is home to all three FBI shows making it a perfect destination for fans!
