Chicago Fire characters have always gotten into tricky situations. They have been arrested, involved in physical altercations, and punished for their actions. Look at Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) or Sam Carver (Jake Lockett). One Chicago Fire alum has suffered consequences from a real life altercation, though.

Eric Mabius was arrested on Thursday, February 20. The actor, who played Jack Nesbitt on Chicago Fire, was allegedly involved in a confrontation with a woman at a Florida bar. Police told Hello Magazine that Mabius was "belligerent" and pushed the aforementioned woman to the ground. She'd be told to leave the bar shortly before, and allegedly began spitting at the bartender.

The situation got worse, apparently. A separate TMZ report claimed that the actor pushed another woman to the ground, and ripped a handful of hair from her scalp in the process. Bar patrons then stepped in and tried to separate Mabius from the two women.

Mabius was reportedly irate when police arrived, and was arrested for battery and resisting an officer without violence. He was taken to Nassau County Jail and Detention Center on the two misdemeanor charges. The two women involved in the altercation were also arrested.

Mabius is a familiar face to anybody who's watched television over the last two decades. He starred on Ugly Betty and had guest appearances on shows like The L Word, CSI: Miami and Blue Bloods. To One Chicago fans, however, he will always be Jack Nesbitt.

He last appeared on Chicago Fire in 2015

Nesbitt was introduced in Chicago Fire season 3. He's an firefighter who owned a Windy City strip club called Stiletto's. He hired Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) to help him out with some contraction in the club, since the two men were friendly, but in reality, Casey was there as an informant for Chicago PD.

Nesbitt was doing shady business with Bulgarian gangsters and helping to smuggle women into the U.S. from Europe against their will. Casey had some close calls over the course of his mission, but he eventually got the job done. Nesbitt was taken into custody by Chicago PD in season 4. His arc was a unique case of a storyline carrying over from the end of one Chicago Fire season to another.

Nesbitt was last seen in the episode "A Taste of Panama City." There's been no mention of his character since, but Eric Mabius has gone on to appear in a series of Hallmark TV films. He's not publicly issued a statement on his arrest yet.
