NBC has announced its schedule for the 2026-27 fall lineup, and it’s good news for One Chicago fans! While networks such as CBS have opted to shake up their schedules, breaking up successful programming blocks and shifting many shows around to midseason, NBC has decided that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
The 2026 NBC Fall schedule sees very little movement, with NBC opting to keep things pretty stable year-to-year, a decision that One Chicago fans can appreciate. While there are some changes ahead, the One Chicago shows will see no change to their schedule come this fall with One Chicago Wednesdays remaining intact on NBC!
In releasing the fall schedule, NBC confirmed that Wednesday nights will once again be led by new episodes of Chicago Med at 8/7c, followed by new episodes of Chicago Fire at 9/8c, with Chicago PD closing the night. While it was never expected that NBC would shake up its One Chicago block, it’s nice to have confirmation that the One Chicago shows will continue to air on Wednesday nights in a programming block that remains a strong performer for NBC.
The biggest change of the fall comes for another Wolf Entertainment series, with Law & Order moving to a new time slot on Thursday nights. After opening the night on Thursday at 8/7c since its return to the schedule and leading into new episodes of Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order will now close the night on Thursdays leading out of SVU. This change is to help make way for The Traitors season 1, NBC’s new civilian version of Peacock’s Emmy-winning series.
