After a few weeks of waiting for a new episode of NCIS, we got to follow the team as they investigated a case that had ties to a fellow agent. Plus, Parker came much closer to solving the mystery of who Lily was and her connection to his mother.
The case involved Lieutenant Robert Mozey, who was found dead with alligator bites on his leg. After looking into a QR code found stamped on his wrist, they discovered he was at a huge party that featured an alligator in a swimming pool.
Sawyer was seen in photos at the party with the victim, but he informed the team he had been moonlighting for security to protect the daughter of a wealthy family. Shayna Reynolds had been dropped off at home by their victim before he was found dead.
Nick and Sawyer bump heads on a tense case
Eventually, the team discovered Shayna hiding out at a cabin waiting for Robert, not knowing he was deceased. She had been in fear for her life over her objection to her family building land near a pond filled with an endangered species of frog. Since Robert’s body had evidence he had been near the pond before he died, they looked at security footage set up near the pond.
After discovering that someone dumped a body in the pond, Nick and Sawyer fished it out. They deduced that Mozey may have been killed for witnessing the murder.
The victim is identified as Clara Braden, who is the soon-to-be ex-wife of Peter Braden, the head of the Reynolds family security. Mozey had shown him the footage of someone dumping the body and he killed Mozey to keep him quiet.
This was such a fun episode with some twists and turns. We got to see some banter between Sawyer, whose first name is Dale, and Torres, with the later taking great joy in calling him “probie” since he was on probation for not informing the agency of his moonlighting.
Parker delves further into the Lily case
As for Parker, he got further in finding out information on who Lily is and how she is connected to his mother. Parker discovered that his parents had gotten into a fight and she left just before getting into a horrific car accident. Once the case was over, Parker did some research and discovered a newspaper article with a photo from the accident site. He noticed a young girl in the photo, and she looked exactly like Lily.
Was Lily a witness to the accident? How did she know Parker’s mother, if she knew her at all? This is one mystery that we’ve had fun watching and cannot wait to see where the answers bring the audience.
