911 season 7 has officially come to an end and it seems so has one character’s time on the show. Warning, the following post contains spoilers surrounding the season finale of 911.

In the penultimate episode of the season, Marisol and Christopher walked in to quite the unexpected sight: Eddie embracing a woman who looked a whole lot like his late wife, Shannon. We knew the moment was going to cause Eddie a lot of trouble and we were certainly right.

After seeing Eddie with a woman who looked like his late mom, Christopher could not forgive Eddie for cheating on Marisol and was incredibly shaken by the sight – so much so that he called his grandparents who hopped on a flight and flew from Texas right away. Christopher and Eddie have had some rough patches over the years, but this one has proved to be their roughest rough patch yet. Things got so bad that Christopher chose to leave LA to go live with his grandparents in Texas, leaving his future up in the air.

Marisol isn’t likely to come back for 911 season 8

While we got to see the fallout between Eddie and Christopher, the same could not be said for Eddie and Marisol. Actress Edy Ganem was MIA in the final episode of 911 season 7 and it seems like we’re not going to get to see any fallout between Marisol and Eddie in the series.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter following the finale’s broadcast, actor Ryan Guzman seemed to hint that we’ve seen the last of Marisol and that the character will not be coming back next season.

“I know Eddie says it in the scene with Buck. He’s like, ‘Well, that’s over.’ Marisol is a woman of God, and I know she could be very forgiving, I’m sure. But at the same time, I don’t know if there’s any coming back from this,” Guzman shared.

Honestly, it wouldn’t be too surprising if Marisol didn’t return as her character arc seems to have ended with her relationship to Eddie falling apart. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see the fallout of the penultimate episode in which she walked in to see Eddie with Kim, but we can’t blame the writers for cutting that storyline.

Of course, we've learned to never rule out a cameo from previous members of the 911 cast, so who knows, maybe we will see Marisol back at some point. We just won't be holding our breath.

dark. Next. We still don’t know when 911: Lone Star will return. We still don’t know when 911: Lone Star will return
