The big day for FBI fans has arrived. All three titles in the Dick Wolf franchise have been renewed by CBS. FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International were renewed by the network for individual seasons, while the flagship show, simply titled FBI, has been renewed for a whopping three seasons! This is one of the longest extentions that have been handed out post-Hollywood strikes.

A quick look at the ratings for the FBI franchise should make its renewal no surprise. All three shows have remained steady performers for CBS, and have actually improved slightly compared to where they were a year ago, according to TV Line. This is exciting news for any fan of procedural TV, and those invested in the larger Dick Wolf universe.

One Chicago characters have appeared on FBI in the past, and since all six titles have been renewed between the two franchises, we can hope to see more crossovers in the future. CBS Entertainment chief Amy Reisenbach issued a statement along with the FBI renewals, and she rightfully praised Dick Wolf and company for their outstanding work.

“The All-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force to be reckoned with on our primetime schedule,” the chief stated. “Dick Wolf and the talent in front of and behind the camera on all three series continue to deliver top-notch storytelling, riveting action and intrigue that has captivated a dedicated fanbase steadily across multiple seasons." The sentiment we most agreed with came at the very end of the statement, and it read:

"We are excited to see what next season holds for all these heroic characters."

Also, Jess' father (Terry O'Quinn) returns to his son's life and, although he's brought a new girlfriend, he may not be over his old ways, on the second season premiere of FBI: MOST WANTED, Tuesday, Nov. 17 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
