Chicago Fire might be 12 seasons in, but the show truly shows no signs of slowing down! Now that the 2023-24 season has come to an end, the ratings for the season are finalized and Chicago Fire has ended the season as NBC’s most-watched show of the season – and we’re not just talking about scripted shows!

Chicago Fire was the most-watched series on NBC among both scripted and unscripted series, claiming the top spot at the network as its best-performing series of the season. It’s not surprising at all that Chicago Fire remains a hit at NBC as the show might be heading into its thirteenth season but remains just as strong as ever with compelling stories and the perfect blend of drama and humor.

It’s not just Chicago Fire that remains a top performer for NBC either. The entire One Chicago franchise continues to perform incredibly well for NBC. While The Voice locked down the title of being NBC’s second-most-watched series of the 2023-24 season, Chicago Med and Chicago PD each remain top performers at the network.

Chicago Med finished the season as the network’s third-most-watched program overall and its second-most-watched scripted series. Meanwhile, Chicago PD claimed the spot as the fourth-most-watched series overall and the third-most-watched scripted series on the network.

Needless to say, while the three One Chicago series might be getting up there in age, they show no signs of slowing down and it’s no surprise that NBC renewed all three series for the 2024-25 season. While linear ratings have fallen in recent years, the One Chicago shows continue to perform incredibly well for the network. All three series were also almost evenly matched with their ratings last season with dips of less than 6% for the three shows year-over-year.

We here at One Chicago Center don’t see the shows slowing down anytime soon and remain just as invested and in love with the series as we did when they first premiered all those years ago!

Speaking of shows that have proven their longevity. Wolf Entertainment’s Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU round out the Top 5 most-watched scripted series on the network this season. In other words, Wolf Entertainment had quite the year over at NBC this season.

It's not surprising at all to know that all five series will be coming back in the fall. Until then, we can always rewatch past seasons on Peacock!
