Get ready One Chicago fans because the One Chicago franchise is about to take yet another break, and this one is going to be the longest one of the season so far.

As confirmed by NBC's upcoming release schedule, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD will all be taking two weeks off with no new episodes planned for March 6 or March 13. Instead, NBC will be airing reruns both weeks instead of new installments of its hit dramas.

The break might be disappointing to fans, but we always expected that there would be some breaks in the season due to the shortened seasons. While most seasons of the One Chicago shows have been roughly 20-22 episodes long, the current seasons of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD will consist of only 13 episodes.

With the new seasons having started in January and the seasons expected to come to a close in May, we anticipated that there would be some breaks in the season. This means in order to space the episodes out during this span of time, NBC needs to put a few breaks into the mix otherwise they'd have burned through the season's 13 episodes well before May which is when the fall season typically ends.

Wednesday, March 6: Reruns

On March 6, One Chicago fans are in for a week of reruns as the One Chicago shows begin what will be a two-week break. While we won't be getting new episodes, at least we'll be able to enjoy reruns and here's a look at what you can expect:

Chicago Med - "This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us"

A woman from Archer’s past returns and threatens his transplant surgery. Crockett clashes with Med’s new eager first-year resident. Charles works to repair his relationship with Ripley.

Chicago Fire - "Call Me McHolland"

Mouch sets out to change his legacy and nickname. Ritter pushes Herrmann to see a doctor. Brett searches for the perfect wedding venue.

Chicago PD - "Retread"

Ruzek gets mixed up in a case after a late-night poker game is raided. Afraid of becoming his father, Ruzek struggles to stand down and allow Intelligence to carry out the investigation while he remains on leave.

Wednesday, March 13: Reruns

March 13 will bring another wave of One Chicago reruns as the shows' two-week break continues. Here's a look at what to expect from the reruns NBC has lined up:

Chicago Med - "What Happens in The Dark Always Comes to Light"

Frustrated with an insurance company, Zola takes matters into her own hands, jeopardizing Med’s negotiations and Crockett’s first day on the board. Charles helps a woman’s depressed husband. Hannah’s first date takes a surprising turn.

Chicago Fire -
"Trapped"

After witnessing a domestic dispute, Brett and Violet decide to take the investigation into their own hands. Mouch vets Truck 81’s new firefighter. Herrmann relies on something new to aid him on the job.

Chicago PD -
"Safe Harbor"

Burgess works an extra shift at the 13th District and gets caught in the middle of a drive-by attack on refugees. The team works together to track down the shooter and uncover the true motive behind the attack.

Wednesday, March 20: New Episodes

After a two-week break, the One Chicago shows will return with new episodes on March 20. We don't yet have synopsis information for the episodes, but do know we'll see the seventh episodes of the season air and should get more information about what's ahead as we get closer mid-March!

Wednesday, March 27: TBA

It's not yet known whether NBC will be airing new episodes or reruns on the final Wednesday of the month as the network has not announced the plans for the last week of the month.
