Chicago Fire spoilers: What to expect in season 12, episode 9 (preview)
If you didn’t think you were getting enough Severide in Chicago Fire, the upcoming episode is going to help change that further. He’s front and center in the new promo.
This is a show that likes to put our firefighters in dangerous situations. They run into the danger that everyone else is running out of, and they will do whatever they can to get innocent victims out alive. That’s coming in up the new episode.
Severide, Kidd, and Van Meter make a call to a fire. That fire has a victim trapped, but can everyone get to him?
Chicago Fire 12x09 promo
The promo gives us a look at this main call. We get to see Severide, who is in a burning building and spots a victim trapped on the other side of a room. There is no way to get to him through the fire, so Severide will need to find another way in.
It looks like they’re going in from behind. We see Severide taking a saw to a wall, suggesting that they’re going in from the back of the room. Can the victim stay calm enough to wait for the rescue?
Chicago Fire 12x09 synopsis
It’s the synopsis that makes it clear that Van Meter is with Severide and Kidd on a call. They are investigating a call at a recording studio. If Van Meter is there, does that suggest that there is some sort of arson investigation going on here, as well. Could the victim be the target of an attack, or is he the one who set the fire in the first place?
Meanwhile, it looks like we’ll see the return of James, Boden’s stepson. He will turn to Kylie for help to keep a secret. It’s going to be great seeing Kylie again.
Mouch gets another storyline that seems to be the humor for the episode. He struggles with keeping boundaries with a paramedicine client. We know that Mouch is faithful to Trudy and loves her, so it’s not him struggling with an interest in the client. Does someone fall for him because he saves her life?
