Chicago PD has put some very questionable police work on display in season 11. The episode "On Paper" revealed that SVU detective Josephine Petrovic (Bojana Novakovic) was an alcoholic who hid her addictions with cough drops and liquids that resemble water.

The newest episode, "Somos Uno" will continue the trend with Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar). The character made a very questionable decision the last time he was the focus of an episode, and it looks as though he didn't learn his lesson. "Somos Uno" will explore the consequences of his choice to sleep with his informant, Gloria Perez (Yara Martinez).

The promo for "Somos Uno" makes it clear that Torres is completely bought into his romance with Gloria Perez, which compromises his judgment as a police officer. Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) is the one to bring this to Torres' attention, which leads us to believe that Burgess will be the one to step and work alongside him throughout the episode.

Benjamin Levy Aguilar has been forthright about the fact that his character is in over his head. During a recent interview with Hi Magazine, the actor noted that the action-oriented thinking that makes him a good cop is sometimes the very thing that gets him into trouble:

"He has an internal battle of needing to prove things to himself so I think when he takes on these cases it's a need to really become the best that he can become."

The synopsis for the episode reads as follows:

"Torres' personal involvement with an informant jeopardizes his safety and threatens to expose an undercover operation."

The jeopardizing alluded to in the synopsis goes well beyond botching a case. Like Burgess states in the promo, Torres' personal involvement with an informant puts him at risk for not only losing his job but going to prison for breaking the law.

If that didn't complicate things enough, Gloria Perez tells Torres to abandon his job with the IU and go on the run with her. Given how emotionally invested the cop is in the situation, we're inclined to think that he will give it some serious consideration.

Regardless of what Torres chooses, this is going to be one of his defining episodes.
