Chicago PD star hints at Gloria Perez's future: 'I have a feeling'

Chicago PD really pushed things to the limit when it came to police officers crossing the line. While we've seen officers blackmail and cover up incidents in which they took out criminals under less than legal circumstances, the latest episode, "Somos Unos", saw Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) engage in a romance with an informant.

Torres was so invested in Gloria Perez (Yara Martinez), in fact, that he briefly considering giving up his position as a police officer and going on the run with her. He decided against it, of course, but he did agree to cover up Perez's decision to murder her drug-dealing husband. It was a particularly shady episode in terms of police work, but it also ended with Torres and Perez seemingly able to continue their romance.

Benjamin Levy Aguilar is hopeful for more Torres-Perez scenes

Will fans get to see more of Perez throughout season 11 or will things peter out between her and Torres? Well, according to Benjamin Levy Aguilar, the former is more likely to be true. The actor told TV Insider that he feels there's much more of Perez's story to be explored, especially as it pertains to his own character's arc:

"I actually don’t know how this is going to go. I can’t wait for the writers to send me the next script of that storyline, but I would assume that something is going to go down..."

The sense of unfinished business makes a lot of sense, given how dangerous Perez's life was prior to meeting Torres. The character was married to a drug dealer, and if that wasn't enough, she was skimming money off the top of each of his shipments. She's not averse to danger, and based on the fact that she murdered her husband in cold blood, she's not opposed to tying up loose ends.

It's safe to assume that people from Perez's past will resurface if she continues to romance Torres. Things will get much more complicated for the latter if this does occur, especially since Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) is the only member of the IU who even knows that Perez and Torres are having a relationship.

We remain unsure, much like Aguilar, but we are hopeful that there will be more to Perez's story throughout season 11.
