There's something going on with 9-1-1: Lone Star. The first responder drama is coming back for a fifth season, and even dropped a teaser trailer to get fans hyped. The thing is, the cast have been suggesting that not all is well behind the scenes.

Deadline alleged that several 9-1-1: Lone Star actors are currently looking for new gigs as early as last month. Then there's the fact that Sierra McClain decided to leave the show ahead of the new season. The real red flag with regards to cancelation speculation, though, has been social media.

Actors have implied the show will canceled

Robyn Lively reportedly posted a message to social that read: "So excited to be a part of @911lonestar’s final season!! What a ride it’s been!” The actress, who has a recurring role on the show, took the message down, but it definitely put fans on high alert.

Natacha Karam, the actress who plays Marjan, posted a wistful message during a recent Instagram Story. She spoke of her time on the show as though it were coming to an end, despite no information or announcements about her character's fate:

"8 more shooting days left after 5 years on a show is a wild feeling. So much change on the horizon."

Brian Michael Smith posted a petition to renew Lone Star

Brian Michael Smith, the actor who plays Paul, added fuel to the speculatory fire when he reposted a link to a petition on Instagram. The petition was fan-made, and simply read: "Save 9-1-1: Lone Star." FOX has not expressed any concerns about the show's future, but the fact that actors are publicly lobbying for the show to be rescued is not encouraging.

It's also worth noting the cumulative effect of these posts. One could be chalked up to a mistake or misunderstanding, but the fact that multiple cast members have alluded to the show being taken out of commission after season 5 makes it seem like a very real/likely possibility.

Hopefully FOX addresses these rumors sooner rather than later.
