The Chicago PD season 11 premiere was one of the most bittersweet season premieres in the show's history. While it brought the end of a seven-month hiatus with the first new episode since May 24, 2023, it also marked the beginning of the end of an era.
After six seasons on the show as a series regular, Tracy Spiridakos will be turning in her detective shield and walking away from the Intelligence Unit.
News of Spiridakos' departure broke ahead of production on the eleventh season of NBC's hit crime drama, with Variety breaking the news in late October. Although we still don't know when Spiridakos will be exiting the show, we know her departure will be coming at some point this season with the season 11 premiere making the beginning of Upton's farewell arc.
