A ship full of zombies on Doctor Odyssey season 1, episode 5? (Preview)

As we get closer to Halloween, a lot of TV shows include scary-themed episodes. Well, Doctor Odyssey is opting for just that with an episode aptly titled “Halloween Week.”

Captain Massey isn’t quite happy with the situation. He makes a note that this is the one week of the year that the ship becomes a clown car, and it’s because of everyone coming along in costumes. Well, even the staff will get involved, as Max opts to dress up as Poseidon (or Neptune, if he’s going for the Roman God).

A zombie virus breaks out in Doctor Odyssey season 1, episode 5

Of course, things have to take a turn with some sort of medical drama. In this case, it’s a zombie virus. Massey is happy dealing with one or two zombies, but not a ship full of them. It’s almost like this isn’t his first rodeo.

The problem is that this is some sort of contagion. The crew will need to work on locking everything down, so why is Tristan walking around the ship? He ends up attacked, so now Max and Avery will need to figure out a cure for this. The synopsis shares that Max and Avery end up on a rescue mission. Is that to save Tristan, or is it for something else that’s going on?

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a zombie outbreak in a show grounded in reality. The Rookie did it, and it ended up being drugs. So, what’s the reasoning in Doctor Odyssey?
