A new episode of FBI had quite a case involving a doctor who ran a clinic seemingly to help those in need, but was harboring a different kind of practice. While this was an exciting episode, fans will have to wait a little longer than expected for a new episode to air.

In the case that aired on Season 8, episode 6, the team looked into a robbery at a clinic, in which a longtime employee was killed as it was happening. At first, it appeared to be the work of a robbery crew involving drugs, but not everything was as it seemed.

One of the suspects, Greg Werrick, had lost his daughter at birth and had a history of drug possession. He had also recently tried to file a lawsuit against Dr. Rusk, the operator of the clinic, for malpractice involving her death, since he was the physician.

The team was able to find he had been attending a grief support group, and he was seen in a photo with a couple named Lyle and Amy. They had also lost their son over a decade earlier, and Rusk was also their doctor.

As it would turn out, Amy had seen a little boy who looked like her and Lyle, and she realized her son was alive. The team was skeptical at first, until they saw financial records dating back over a decade showing Rusk working with an adoption agent for years. There were also deposits made around the times associated with the deaths of Lyle and Amy’s, and Greg’s, children.

Amy eventually was willing to identify her son through thank you cards, only because she realized that if Lyle hurt his adoptive parents, it would only hurt her son more. The team rushed to stop Lyle, who was holding the parents hostage.

Eventually, Isabel was able to plead with Lyle to let them go, telling him he could not hurt his son by taking the only parents he knew. It was a heart-wrenching episode, with so many victims involved that it will have consequences stretching out far past the closure of the case.

With the episode now complete, fans will have to wait two weeks to find out what the team will investigate next. The break is likely due to the Thanksgiving holiday, but luckily, a new episode will be available on Monday, December 1.

In the episode titled “Fadeaway,” the team will look into an explosion at a Brooklyn apartment complex. While the synopsis details that the team will locate the suspect involved, they will also discover that a convicted felon ordered the explosion. A preview for the upcoming episode also showed agents in danger at the prison, likely due to a brawl.

We’re already looking forward to seeing how things play out in the upcoming episode. Until then, you can catch up on this season of FBI on Paramount+.
