FBI is going on another two-week hiatus and will be back in May, but the latest episode to air was exciting in that it saw the team dealing with potential anthrax exposure and the introduction of Scola’s new partner, Dani, played by SWAT’s Emily Alabi.
In the episode, the team was investigating a kidnapping involving a little girl when it became apparent that the abduction was the lead up to something deadlier. The girl was taken because the abductors wanted access to the facility where her dad worked. There was C4 in the warehouse location involved with the company and he led them there so he could get his daughter back.
Isobel was in charge of running the investigation since Jubal (Jeremy Sisto) wasn’t in the episode, and she had to deal with the potential attack while also wanting to keep her employees and family safe. Maggie (Missy Peregrym) and OA (Zeeko Zaki) had been exposed to anthrax after a lead led them to one of the perpetrators who had been exposed and was dying after being betrayed by his companions.
What happened to OA and Maggie on FBI?

Even with the location for where the man’s associates were heading to sell the bomb to their suspect, it was too late to stop the sale. They learned their suspect was Ahmet Mayden. He was planning an anthrax attack on the city out of revenge over an incident involving his son. Mayden was a Turkish national whose son had worked on Wall Street and became the scapegoat after a scandal at his company. He took his own life and his father wanted to hurt the economy out of revenge.
The team eventually discovered the location of the bomb and were able to get it to a vault on Wall Street while also removing the anthrax from the device so it wouldn’t also go off. OA was the one who managed to hold onto it even when the bomb went off, saving both himself and Maggie, as well as everyone in Manhattan.
This was a really well-done episode that showed how high the stakes were for the team. OA and Maggie were both exposed to a potentially dangerous poison and they both had different reactions to how cases like this meant about the sacrifices they made on the job. However, it did not stop them from getting the job done, and even though the bomb may have gone off, the potential devastation from the poison was avoided.
When will new episodes of FBI return in 2025?

This case also saw Scola (John Boyd) working with Dani for the first time as his partner. While he did have to make sure Dani understood they needed to work together as a team, it’s clear they got along well. Scola has had trouble finding a new partner since Tiffany left, but it looks like a partnership that will stick, especially as we get closer to the season finale.
There is no information yet on what will happen when the show returns on Tuesday, May 6. At least this means we won’t have any more breaks before the finale airs on May 20, which will see the team looking into her terrorists discovered the location of a secret FBI field office after Jubal nearly escapes an attack.
Until the new episodes air, you can watch the rest of the season on Paramount+. Make sure to stay tuned to One Chicago Center for more coverage.
