One of the things we love the most about NCIS is the relationships between not just the team, but with their loved ones. This is especially true for Agent Tim McGee and his wife, Delilah (Margo Harshman). Whenever they are onscreen, the audience gets fun insights into their personal lives and we get to see them work together. So will we see them back together in action?
Before the midseason hiatus, executive producer Steven D. Binder hinted that we would see Delilah come back in a Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner style episode. This will involve her husband’s concerns and suspicions regarding Deputy Director Gabriel LaRoche. McGee has been secretly investigating him and the possibility that he is the mole at NCIS. In an upcoming episode, Delilah will get involved somehow.
NCIS boss teased Delilah's season 22 appearance
While he didn’t say much about what will happen in the episode during the interview, Binder did reveal the episode will be called “Killer Instinct.” It will find McGee and Delilah meeting with both LaRoche and his wife. Other than that, the only other tidbit we got about the upcoming episode involved Torres having an undercover stint as a hitman.
Delilah’s return is exciting, although we do wonder if there is a chance danger will be lurking. Since McGee needs to be careful not to let on that he has suspicions to LaRoche, any possible danger could come to either McGee or his family at home or at work if his suspicions are founded.
Of course, it could turn out that NCIS will provide a twist and LaRoche will actually be innocent. Could he also be investigating a mole himself? There are so many possibilities when it comes to this arc for McGee. We just hope everyone makes it out alright, especially McGee and his wife.
The character's future is still unclear
We do not know when that episode will air, but we are looking forward to it already. Now that the show has returned with one episode, we're in for a fun season. The Monday, Feb. 3 episode will find the team staging an undercover wedding to go after the mob.
This sounds like this will be one of those episodes with a lot of amusing moments to come before the drama ensues for the team. It would be especially hilarious if they decided to have the pretend couple be Nick Torres and Jessica Knight since the latest episode revealed he is dating her sister.
NCIS airs Mondays on CBS at 9/8c. You can catch up on previous episodes on Paramount+. Keep up with One Chicago Center for more coverage.
