Witchy pregnancies at a high school in Brilliant Minds season 1, episode 6 (Preview)

The interns are heading back to high school with Dr. Wolf in Brilliant Minds season 1, episode 6. Is something supernatural going on?

We know that episodes are never what they seem. Brilliant Minds has done a great job in leading us to believe that the cases are something we’ve seen before on TV and then turns the table on us. We have unusual diagnoses happening in each episode, and it looks like this is another one of those cases.

Hysterical pregnancies or something else in Brilliant Minds season 1, episode 6

Wolf and his interns are off to a high school for the latest case. A group of teenage girls seem to have cast a spell so that they can all get pregnant together. Dana believes that they’re dealing with witches, and that may be the case. People do practice witchcraft in today’s world.

The question is whether the spell has anything to do with the case. Is it possible that they all believe that they are pregnant and that the team is dealing with hysterical pregnancies? That certainly seems likely with the title “The Girl Who Cried Pregnant.”

However, Wolf notes in the promo that this is a “once in a lifetime” situation. That doesn’t seem like hysterical pregnancy to me unless he means by the group. And we know this series deals with reality and not the supernatural. So, what is going on?

This could be a chance for Van to use his mirror-touch synesthesia. Can he learn how to control it so that it becomes more of a superpower rather than a curse?

The promo and synopsis don’t tell us anything else about the episode. We don’t know if there’s more about John Doe after the way the previous episode ended. There is a man trapped inside his head, and Wolf needs to do everything he can to help him in some way.

A lot of the images focus on the medical case that Wolf and the interns will deal with. It looks like the girls aren't in a traditional high school in some of these images, with them wearing name tags. Is this for Wolf, or is this because they're in some sort of facility?

There are also some images of the interns hanging out together. Based on the image of all of them hugging, it does suggest that we'll get to learn more about Dana in this episode. Will the high school pregnancy situation bring up some memories for her?

Then there are the images of Wolf and Pierce. I love their friendship, and it's clear they care about each other. Pierce is going through a separation, and she'll need support, so I'm glad to see that Wolf is there for her.
