Law and Order SVU: Synopsis, promo for Philip Winchester’s debut
Law and Order SVU welcomes Chicago Justice’s Philip Winchester this week, and here’s the SVU season 19, episode 13 synopsis and promo for his first episode.
Tomorrow is the day Chicago Justice fans have been waiting for: Philip Winchester returns as Peter Stone on Dick Wolf‘s Law & Order: SVU. We’re bringing you the official description and teaser for his debut episode so you can see what his first episode will be about.
Wednesday’s episode is called “The Undiscovered Country” and starts as a missing child case but turns into something much larger than that. Much of the focus is going toward the fact that Philip Winchester isn’t the only big guest star; this episode also features Sam Waterston, who starred in the original Law & Order as Jack McCoy. We know from our exclusive first photos that McCoy has a few scenes with Peter Stone.
So how big a role will our former Chicago Justice hero play in this episode? It may not be a huge one, since deservedly, McCoy will get a decent amount of screen time. His character is more well known (and beloved) to fans of the Law & Order franchise. But it’s safe to say that as District Attorney, McCoy probably has a hand in getting Peter to stay in New York.
And since this is just the first SVU episode for Philip Winchester, this could just be laying the groundwork for why his character moves from Chicago Justice.
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"When an infant goes missing, the SVU finds themselves taking sides in a family’s right-to-die court case. Barba’s interference in the case puts the entire DA’s office in jeopardy."
And here’s a sneak peek for “The Undiscovered Country” that NBC posted yesterday with Stone and Jack McCoy to give you an early tease of what’s coming:
