How did Chicago Med season 3 and Chicago PD season 5 fare in the ratings this week? Find out in the One Chicago Ratings Report.

Another week in the One Chicago season has gone by, so it’s time for another edition of the One Chicago Ratings Report.

This was the third week of an abbreviated schedule; this week it was Chicago Fire that wasn’t on the air, thanks to NBC kicking off the 2018 Winter Olympics on Thursday.

And because of the Olympics, there won’t be any ratings to report for the next two weeks, so this could be considered a big week—wanting to finish strong, per se.

But did that actually happen?

More from One Chicago Center

Tuesday’s Chicago Med episode “On Shaky Ground” had 7.38 million live viewers.

That’s a bounce-back from the 6.87 million the show had two weeks ago, though still not as high as their 7.88 million the week before that.

Med is continuing to hold its own against Tuesday night broadcast TV competition. It was ranked sixth among all broadcast shows in total viewers, and it came in third with adults 18-49.

The former is equal to where the show was two weeks ago, while the latter is up two places from the last episode.

CBS‘s NCIS: New Orleans is still winning the Tuesday at 10 p.m. hour, but not by a huge amount. Its 8.21 million audience members is a difference of 830,000, and NCIS is way behind Chicago Med in the 18-49 demo (tied for ninth compared to Med‘s third).

So if you’re a fan of our favorite medical drama, then you’ve got an awful lot to feel good about, as it’s continuing to perform very well this season.

On Wednesday the Chicago PD episode “Anthem” had a huge bar to reach, as the series was the most watched broadcast show last week. Was it able to hold onto the top spot? Find out after the jump.

Chicago PD had 7.22 million watchers this week, making that the second consecutive week that the show has grown its audience. It pulled in 510,000 more viewers than last Wednesday.

But even so, that wasn’t enough for it to keep its number one ranking. PD was knocked down to the second most-watched broadcast program this week. What was number one? CBS struck again with its premiere of reality show Celebrity Big Brother.

PD was still the most-watched series in the Wednesday 10 p.m. time slot, and its 1.2 share tied it for fourth place amongst people 18-49 with the first hour of CBS’s The Amazing Race 30. That is down one spot as well, but still not shabby.

One Chicago fans can take a break with a smile on their faces as both series have something to appreciate this week. Both of them had more viewers than they did last week, and they’re both competitive. Hopefully they’ll continue that trend after the Winter Olympics!
