Wednesday, Feb. 14: Chicago Med star Oliver Platt in Pieces of April (MGM, 4:20 p.m. ET)
The man behind Med‘s Dr. Daniel Charles has a role in this 2003 film, playing a father who’s surprised when his estranged daughter (Katie Holmes) wants to bring her family back together on Thanksgiving.
That’s right, it’s a Thanksgiving-themed movie airing on Valentine’s Day. And something else in which Oliver Platt has an estranged daughter he tries to reconnect with. Is there a theme going here?
Thursday, Feb. 15: Chicago PD‘s Amy Morton and Chicago Med‘s Ato Essandoh in separate episodes of Blue Bloods (ION, 10 a.m. ET and 7 p.m. ET)
Both Amy Morton and Ato Essandoh had recurring roles in CBS‘s crime procedural Blue Bloods, which is having a Thursday marathon on the ION cable channel. Morton guest stars as a scheming prosecutor in the episode “Ways and Means,” which airs at 10 a.m. Later, Essandoh appears as Rev. Darnell Potter in “Rush to Judgment,” which you can see at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 17: Chicago Med‘s own S. Epatha Merkerson in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (AMC, 2 p.m. ET)
Did you remember that S. Epatha Merkerson was in one of the best movies ever made? Yep, she had a small role as Tarissa Dyson in the sci-fi classic Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Tarissa was the wife of Miles Dyson (future Scandal star Joe Morton), who got a huge shock when Sarah Connor broke into her house. If you somehow haven’t seen this movie yet, you need to and you can this weekend.
