The doctors of Chicago Med are used to helping those who’ve been attacked, but what do they do when they can’t tell if someone is the victim or the perpetrator?
One Chicago Center has an exclusive clip from Tuesday’s new episode “Folie A Deux” that presents a major medical and ethical dilemma for the Emergency Department.
Two neighbors are rushed into the ED, both having been involved in a violent altercation. Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) treats the woman who has a head injury, but his suspicions are immediately raised when she starts talking about how her neighbor has been trying to kill her “for weeks.” Wait, what?
Across the way Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) is in another hospital room with the other neighbor, who’s got an ugly stab wound in his abdomen. He says that Will’s patient stabbed him. So which one of them is telling the truth? Who started this fight that seriously injured both of them, and why?
Oh, and regardless of who’s right and wrong here, both of these people have severe wounds that Halstead and Choi have to treat and treat quickly. Can they do what’s best for their patients, while also making sure they do what’s best in the big picture so something worse doesn’t happen next? You’re about to see and hear some things you won’t believe.
