Chicago Fire concludes a crossover with Chicago PD tonight. Look ahead to the episode with our Chicago Fire season 6, episode 13 preview.

Thursday’s Chicago Fire is the second half of a crossover between Fire and Chicago PD, so what should we look forward to in this episode?

Season 6, Episode 13 is called “Hiding Not Seeking,” and if you’re a Monica Raymund fan, then get excited because Gabriela Dawson is front and center in this episode.

Dawson and Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) are enlisted to go undercover as Intelligence’s hunt for the serial bomber continues, and that just opens up a can of personal drama.

There’s the relationship between Dawson and her brother Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda), as he’s the one who has to put his sister in a potentially hazardous situation.

Then there’s Antonio and Brett, because he’s also putting the woman he’s obviously still in love with in the same situation, too. Antonio’s heart may just explode in this episode, and nobody can blame him.

But Dawson has shown she can hang tough in life-threatening situations; just this season, “A Breaking Point” proved she’s basically Wonder Woman. Brett, on the other hand, isn’t quite so tough and will that be a problem when any one mistake could blow their cover?

So there’s that and how Dawson may have to step in and help Brett, and their partnership and how it gets affected by this as well.

Plus, how is Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) going to feel about this? Although bonus points if Chicago Fire remembers that he went undercover with Jack Nesbitt in season 3, so he could also be a resource for his wife here. We feel like the idea lends itself to another cute Dawsey moment not unlike this deleted scene:

Overall, it’ll just be interesting to see how Chicago Fire season 6 handles being the second part of the crossover. “Hiding Not Seeking” is the first time that NBC has ever had Fire not kick off one of the One Chicago crossovers.

And as was pointed out in our interview with executive producers, which you can read by clicking the banner below, that’s not the most conventional way to tell the story. So how will that affect the plot, and how will Fire put an exclamation point to this crossover? There’s only one way to find out, and that’s to tune in Thursday night.
