2. Brett deserves a good man

Brettonio needs to get back together because Brett is in serious need of a relationship that isn’t messed up. Since the end of her original relationship with Antonio, we’ve seen her go on a date with a married doctor who just wanted to sleep with her, and compete with Stella for the heart of Hazmat Zach (guest star Daniel Di Tomasso) in a story that made her look like a teenage girl trying to land a high school prom date.

And that’s just her romantic life. Make no mistake about it, Sylvie Brett has been kicked while she’s down in Chicago Fire season 6. Her hometown friend Hope Jacquinot (Eloise Mumford) came into Firehouse 51, only to sleep with Severide and embarrass Brett with her scheming to get Stella out of her way. We’ve since been told in “The F Is For” that Hope was trash-talking Brett on social media when Brett wouldn’t forgive her for the whole Single White Female act.

Then there’s the awkwardness of Brett finding out that her roommate and ex-boyfriend Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) has developed a crush on her again. Everything is a bit pear-shaped in Brett’s life this season, so she deserves to have one thing go right—and to find some form of happiness when so many people she’s gotten close to have turned out to be snakes in the grass. Antonio would be a safe, happy place for her.
