Chicago Med season 3, episode 15 preview: Devil In Disguise
Chicago Med has a lot of hard questions to ask this week. Look ahead to tonight’s episode with our Chicago Med season 3, episode 15 preview.
Something’s seriously wrong in tonight’s Chicago Med, but it’s not the problem that it appears to be. There’s no devil here—just a lot of consequences for past and future actions.
Tuesday’s episode is called “Devil In Disguise” because a woman comes into the Emergency Department claiming that her child is possessed. Naturally, this prompts an immediate psych evaluation in addition to a physical one.
It’s not a spoiler to say that we don’t have a demon loose in the hospital, as entertaining as that might be. So what’s the real cause behind this kid’s problem?
It’ll be interesting to see how Med handles this story. We saw a similar idea on CBS‘s Code Black, when people thought their friend was possessed and it turned out to be a deadly virus instead.

That wound up being one of that show’s best episodes, so depending on how much our series wants to dig into this (and what it ends up really being), the main plot of “Devil In Disguise” could be great.
But for now, our attention is on the subplots in this episode. Namely, we’re finally getting around to the conjoined twin surgery that’s been brought up earlier in the season.
As mentioned in our interview with Norma Kuhling, the procedure will cause further conflict between the two cardiothoracic surgeons. And the two episodes where Ava and Connor have seriously fought, “Best Laid Plans” and “Born This Way”, have provided some truly tense scenes for Norma Kuhling and Colin Donnell.
So we expect the same here—after all, having teased this plotline in advance, there had better be a significant payoff after all that anticipation.
But here’s something else we’re even more concerned about. The photo gallery for this Chicago Med episode shows Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett) talking to someone who appears to be hospital attorney Peter Kalmick (guest star Marc Grapey).
That would indicate that Maggie is in legal trouble for her actions in last week’s episode. And when you add that on top of the lawsuit she had to avoid before that, is Maggie getting in some serious hot water? After all, she’s already suspended—that has to be enough, right?
Keep in mind, this is a season where we’ve had one doctor get suspended for macing a patient and another who’s gone behind her attending’s back to administer a treatment (although he took the fall for it).
So it feels like Chicago Med has to have someone take a fall with all of the rule-breaking that’s been going on, but why Maggie? You could argue what she’s done isn’t nearly as bad as some of the other things that have happened this season. But we’ll see how far the show wants to push this issue tonight.
