One Chicago ratings report: Week of April 17
How did Chicago Med season 3, Chicago PD season 5 and Chicago Fire season 6 fare in the ratings this week? Find out in the One Chicago Ratings Report.
Another week in the One Chicago season has gone by, so it’s time for another edition of the One Chicago Ratings Report.
All three One Chicago series were running new episodes this week, although there were some changes in the NBC schedule around them. So how did each of our favorite shows score in the TV ratings race?
On Tuesday, the Chicago Med episode “An Inconvenient Truth” brought in 6.21 million live viewers. That’s a decrease of 230,000 eyeballs from last week‘s 6.44 million, as Med fell back closer to the mark from two weeks ago (6.15 million).
The series ranked sixth among all broadcast TV programs that aired on Tuesday night, but it did tie for third amongst adults aged 18-49 with ABC‘s freshman sitcom Alex, Inc.

The show lost handily to CBS‘s NCIS: New Orleans in the Tuesday 10 p.m. time slot battle, with the crime drama having roughly two million more watchers than Chicago Med.
But it’s still NBC’s highest-rated scripted show on Tuesdays, so that’s a plus as is the high ranking in the 18-49 demographic.

Wednesday’s new Chicago PD episode “Saved” had 6.58 million live audience members. That’s a big lift of 740,000 people over last week!
PD held its spots as third overall and sixth in the adults 18-49 category for another week. However, it barely edged out Dick Wolf‘s Law & Order: SVU for the “best on NBC” title, as the latter also grew its audience to 6.53 million.
What’s the cause of both shows’ increases? NBC aired a special Wednesday edition of The Voice. Keep reading past the jump for this week’s update on Chicago Fire.
Thursday’s Chicago Fire episode “Where I Want To Be” finished with 5.24 total viewers, and also took a loss for the week.
Last week’s episode came in with 5.48 million viewers, and was seventh in total viewers and tied for sixth with adults aged 18-49.
Fire finished last in the Thursday 10 p.m. time slot this week, behind the series finale of ABC’s Scandal and a new episode of CBS’s SWAT. Given the buzz around the Scandal finale, this was to be expected, but it’s still disappointing to hear.
The show fell to ninth amongst total viewers, and tied for seventh with viewers 18-49.
