Which Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med characters had a good week and who didn’t? Here are this week’s One Chicago winners and losers.

In One Chicago, as in real life, some people have great weeks and other people not so much. So each Friday, we’re going to look back at the winners and losers of the week in our fandom.

Which characters from Chicago Fire or Chicago PD or Chicago Med had an awesome week and deserve a round of applause? Which characters got the short end of the stick this week and they probably need a hug or a stiff drink?

We’re highlighting the highs and lows of the week in this post, and we want you to tell us which characters you think came out ahead—or wound up behind—in the comments at the end of the article.

Here are our One Chicago winners and losers this week:

More from One Chicago Center

Loser: Will Halstead

If you thought last week was bad, this week was even worse for Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss).

Chicago Med did almost exactly what One Chicago fans didn’t want it to do, and had Will make out with Dr. Maya Frisch (guest star Emma Duncan). He did stop short of sleeping with her, but that didn’t erase that he went back to her place.

After all, you could argue that Will would have slept with her if he hadn’t been so drunk he passed out on her couch.

With Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) ready to end their “break” Will does get points for telling her about his indiscretion.

But Natalie was furious and left him sitting alone, meaning Will had to make the walk of shame before the episode started and probably had to make another one after it ended. How long will it take Natalie to forgive him this time?

Loser: Hank Voight

The Chicago PD episode “Saved” not only was a bad one for Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) in terms of plot, but it also didn’t paint him in the best light.

Voight found out that Hannah, a former student of his late wife Camille, was in need of his help as she had been participating in a bank robbery crew. Even though Voight tried to rescue Hannah, her boyfriend Mike got them both shot and killed, leaving our Intelligence Unit boss holding Hannah’s dead body and apologizing to her.

That’s terrible, as Voight has once again lost someone from his past after the deaths of his wife and son. But what was also terrible was Voight trying to intimidate the Assistant State’s Attorney prosecuting Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) into dropping the case. He stormed into the man’s office and growled, “You owe me.”

Voight wound up getting into a brief shouting match with Denny Woods (Mykelti Williamson), but no, pressuring someone to drop a murder case because you think they’re obligated is not cool. And it didn’t work either.

Winner: Otis

Chicago Fire cleared the way for Otis (Yuri Sardarov) to come back to Truck 81 this week. Not only was he heading into his hopefully last doctor’s evaluation, but his would-be replacement left the firehouse. Although Otis has been at Firehouse 51 in an administrative capacity for a few episodes now, we still can’t wait to see him back on Truck and doing what means so much to him. We bet when he gets that first fire call, we’re all going to start sniffling. Congratulations, Otis!
