The Chicago PD season finale features a showdown between Voight and Woods. Here’s the official Chicago PD season 5, episode 22 synopsis and teaser.
Wednesday’s installment is called “Homecoming” and while we’re not quite sure what that means, we do know that we’ll find out whether or not Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) survives after his attack at the end of last week’s episode. Olinsky’s attack motivated Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) to finally settle things with Denny Woods (returning guest star Mykelti Williamson), but will that be with our hero confessing or will he find some eleventh-hour way to stop Woods while also keeping his own crimes secret?
Whatever direction Voight goes, the rest of the Intelligence Unit will be on hand to both make sure that the person who stabbed Olinsky doesn’t get away with it, and to find out their fates, because there’s still a murder trial in front of them plus the whole unit could go down with their leader. It’ll be a busy episode for sure, as everything going all the way back to the season premiere is going to have to be resolved in these 42 minutes.
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"Tensions run high as Intelligence seeks justice for Olinsky after he’s stabbed in prison. Antonio’s loyalty is put to the test and Woods looks to take down Voight once and for all."
