Sophia Bush gets superpowers in The Incredibles 2
Chicago PD’s Sophia Bush is joining a different type of crime-fighting story as she has a major role in Disney/Pixar’s new sequel The Incredibles 2.
If you’re one of the many people heading out to see Disney/Pixar’s The Incredibles 2 today, keep your ears open for Sophia Bush.
The former Chicago PD star has a considerable role in the hugely anticipated sequel, playing the character of Voyd (real name Karen)—a young girl who wants to be a superhero just like her idol Elastigirl (voiced by Holly Hunter).
Voyd gets her name from the fact that she has the power to create voids that allow objects to both appear and disappear at will.
For Sophia Bush, a little over a year removed from the airing of her last Chicago PD episode as Detective Erin Lindsay, providing the voice for Voyd and getting to be part of The Incredibles 2 was a bit of a dream come true.

“I’m a huge Pixar fan and Incredibles has always been my favorite of all the amazing Pixar movies,” she enthused during a live stream question and answer session presented by IMAX last week that you can watch here.
“The movie gets everybody,” she added in explaining why she’s an Incredibles fan, “because it’s about family and community and service and belonging. Things we all relate to.”

The Incredibles 2 picks up where the 2004 original film left off, with the action taking place just three months later.
The local authorities have become concerned about how much damage superpowered people are doing, much like what happened before the start of the first film.
But Helen Parr is persuaded by superhero fan Winston Deavor (Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk) to re-don her Elastigirl identity and undertake a new mission that could turn public opinion back in favor of heroes.
We don’t have specific details on how Sophia Bush’s character fits into the plot, but it’s safe to say her character Voyd will certainly be interested in what happens with Elastigirl. Maybe she’ll even become a hero herself! Watch the Incredibles 2 trailer below:
