Chicago Fire fans can get their first official look at Chicago Fire season 7 this week as NBC has scheduled a “sneak preview” of the new season.

Set your DVR’s now, because Chicago Fire will preview its upcoming season later this week while NBC continues to drum up excitement for its fall schedule.

According to current TV listings, a “sneak preview” of Chicago Fire season 7 is scheduled to air on Saturday, Aug. 25 from 1:45 a.m. to 1:53 a.m. PT.

That time may or may not be different in other time zones, so check your local NBC listings to see when it will be shown in your area.

However, this preview also isn’t likely to be made available online after it airs—so definitely don’t miss it!

No specific information about the promo was made available, but NBC is rolling out early morning teases for several of its new and returning series as we get closer to the start of the fall TV season in September.

The network did this exact thing for the sixth season of Chicago Fire last fall, showing another featurette that mixed promo footage with brief cast interviews.

Last season’s preview didn’t reveal anything too shocking, but it will still be One Chicago fans’ first official opportunity to check out footage from the seventh season.

Presumably there will be some cast interviews involved this time as well, since there’s eight whole minutes to fill.

This teaser is worth checking out to see if anyone addresses the departure of Monica Raymund and how Chicago Fire has changed without her (though her character hasn’t quite left). That’s a big development and should be talked about.

The timing is a bit odd, as it’s certainly not convenient for fans, but it makes sense since it’s easier for NBC to air these quick hits during the relatively dead air of morning rather than take minutes away from their primetime programming (especially since Chicago Fire isn’t the only show they’re doing this for).

The important thing to remember is that the network never made last season’s preview available after it was shown—not on TV, not on the show’s YouTube, or anywhere else—so if you want to get some potential clues about Chicago Fire season 7, you have to tune in this weekend. If nothing else, this will get you more hyped for the return of Chicago Fire.
