Chicago Med season 4 character preview: April Sexton

What will happen

Based on what we know about Chicago Med so far, there shouldn’t be any more heartbreak ahead for April Sexton. The show gave too much screen time to the Chexton relationship last season to just throw it aside this season, and even if it disregarded that, it would feel repetitive to have April lose two relationships in two seasons. That’s how the series handles Connor Rhodes‘ love life, not hers.

With those two things in mind, we fully expect that April and Choi will have reconciled by the time Chicago Med season 4 starts. If there’s another time jump between seasons, it would be no shock at all if they never even mentioned their Emily disagreement again.

April’s relationship is now out in the open, so that’s no longer a concern for her either—unless the new bureaucrat brought in to help run the hospital has a problem with relationships between two people of different ranks (which would also put Manstead on the rocks).

So with all of her problems from last year seemingly resolved, April can do pretty much whatever she wants in Chicago Med season 4. There’s no reason to rock the boat, so we’re assuming she’ll be doing more working with Choi while also dating Choi, and continuing to be awesome.
