What does Chicago PD season 6 have in store for Hank Voight? Before the new Chicago PD season, look ahead for Jason Beghe’s character.

Before Chicago PD season 6 begins on Sept. 26, we’re previewing the new season specifically for each main character. Where did they leave off last season, what ought to happen with them in the new season, and what is most likely going to happen next?

Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) is the boss of the Intelligence Unit, and still the character around whom the entire show orbits. This past season was a perfect example, as Voight had to contend with his old partner Denny Woods (Mykelti Williamson) for an entire season. What was supposed to be a season about police reform, instead was a season about Woods’ personal quest to take down his former friend.

That back and forth battle was most of what Voight dealt with, as everyone else in Intelligence was affected by Woods in one way or another. If Voight wasn’t fighting Woods himself, he was dealing with some consequence for one of his team members, up to and including his best friend Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) being indicted for murder. And we know how that ended—but where does Voight go from here?
