This week’s Chicago PD season premiere features a final farewell to one of the show’s beloved characters, and One Chicago fans can take their first look at what’s going to happen in the episode with our photo gallery.
Wednesday’s episode is entitled “New Normal,” as in how the Intelligence Unit is having to adjust to a new world after the murder of Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) last season.
Several of the photos provided by NBC for the episode feature the Intelligence team at Olinsky’s funeral, so expect there to be some crying from the characters and fans like (plus likely a renewed argument about why the show will regret killing Olinsky).
Other photos highlight the newest recurring cast member. Anne Heche, who previously starred in NBC’s The Brave last season, is introduced in the premiere as Katherine Brennan. Brennan is the Deputy Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department, and she immediately asserts her rank as she tries to get something she wants out of the team.
