This week’s Law and Order SVU season premiere consists of two back-to-back episodes, which means twice the drama and suspense. Dick Wolf fans can take their first look at what’s going to happen in the episodes with our photo gallery.

Thursday’s episodes are entitled “Man Up” and “Man Down.” Like last season’s finale, the pair of installments are aired as one unit because they tell one ongoing story.

One Chicago fans will recognize one familiar face in several of the promotional photos that NBC has released from these episodes. Dylan Walsh guest stars in the premiere as Jack Conway, a very successful New York businessman whose son is involved in the case of the week.

Walsh previously appeared in one of the last episodes of Chicago Justice portraying a corrupt cop who was prosecuted by Peter Stone (Philip Winchester). He also guested in another installment of this show years earlier. So is anybody going to say he looks familiar?

This episode also introduces the other two recurring players who were cast over the summer hiatus: George Newbern (Scandal) and Sandrine Holt (The Crossing). You’ll see both of them in a handful of images below.

The SVU season 20 premiere appears to focus significantly on Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) based on how many of the promotional images she’s in, but all of the main cast members are here, as is to be expected for two full episodes.
