What’s coming up in the next Chicago Fire episode? Find out what’s happening this week in the Chicago Fire season 7, episode 3 synopsis and teaser.

This week’s Chicago Fire episode is focused on Firehouse 51’s new arrivals and their issues, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promotional video they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s episode is called “Thirty Percent Sleight of Hand,” which is a mouthful of a title and one of the longest titles in the history of the show. It sounds like an excellent magic act, honestly, but alas it is not.

Instead, after taking a break last week for the Chicago Crossover, this installment gets back to the plotlines started in the Chicago Fire season 7 premiere. Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) starts his own investigation into why Firehouse 51 suddenly needs to have a babysitter, because you know there’s something more sinister going on there.

And in other news, new paramedic Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh) continues her mission to fit in among her new co-workers. Will we eventually learn the full story about Foster’s past or even any more about who she is individually? It felt like the story she told about cheating in medical school wasn’t the entire story, and if she’s trying to get on the crew’s good side, maybe she’ll reveal more about herself. You’ll have to watch and see.

Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:

"Chief Boden becomes increasingly skeptical of Assistant Deputy Commissioner Gorsch’s motives, while Severide gets wrapped up in a difficult situation following the rescue of a child from a car wreck. Trying to fit in with the rest of the firehouse, Foster is tasked with doling out some personal advice to Cruz."

And here’s the promo that was aired before this episode, as NBC once again used the same promo spot for all three One Chicago shows:
