Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD ratings are in for the latest episodes. Here’s the Oct. 24 edition of the One Chicago Ratings Report.

With another week of the One Chicago season in the books, it’s time for another look at the franchise’s TV ratings with the One Chicago Ratings Report.

Against the second game of the 2018 MLB World Series, it’s no surprise that ratings for Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD fluctuated a bit this week. But it wasn’t necessarily bad news.

Chicago Med had 7.75 million live viewers on Wednesday night. That’s a minor increase from the audience last week (7.64 million; up 110,000).

It held steady as the second most-watched show of the evening, out of 14 primetime programs on broadcast TV. It also ticked up slightly from 1.2 to 1.3 in the adults 18-49 demographic.

However, the show’s biggest rival also experienced ratings gains. Over on CBS, a new episode of Survivor also picked up extra viewers this week; Med was still able to beat it, but they’re still fairly close in the size of their audiences.

After topping the fandom last week, Chicago Fire ended up coming in behind Chicago Med in total viewers this week.

Its 7.65 million live watchers was down from the previous week’s 7.86, for a drop of 210,000 total eyeballs.

That dropped Chicago Fire from the most-watched program of the night to third place overall, and its 1.3 rating in the 18-49 group tied for fourth place in that category. Numbers are still encouraging for Firehouse 51, but hopefully the decrease in viewership is a one-week thing.

At the end of the night, Chicago PD continued its ratings decline. For the second week in a row and the third week in the last four, it came in last amongst the One Chicago series.

Chicago PD was the only series to dip under 7 million viewers this Wednesday, coming in with 6.65 million live audience members. That’s a loss of 370,000 viewers.

Overall, the Intelligence Unit has lost almost a half million viewers since the beginning of October. The show had 7.14 million people watching live on Oct. 3, which is 490,000 less than were tuned in this week.

The show was ranked fifth overall and seventh amongst adults 18-49, though its 1.2 share was only a point off the number for Chicago Fire and Chicago Med, so that’s not a huge gap.

The World Series didn’t have a hugely detrimental effect on the One Chicago franchise, even though two of the three shows did lose viewers this week. While PD continues to have some cause for concern, the fandom is doing incredibly well so far this season!
