What should fans watch for in this week’s Chicago Fire? Get ready for tonight’s episode with our Chicago Fire season 7, episode 6 preview.

There are some visitors coming in the next Chicago Fire, but what do they want and what does it mean for the rest of Firehouse 51?

Wednesday’s episode “All The Proof” may be airing on Halloween, but what’s really worth looking at is the interplay between characters and what they say about some of our heroes.

For instance, this episode includes the return of Naomi Graham (guest star Kate Villanova), that reporter who worked with Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) on the trailer park fire during the last episode.

Some One Chicago fans thought Naomi was a little star-struck by Casey, and her returning this week won’t change that suspicion. Why is she back at the firehouse, considering that her plotline was wrapped up already?

Either she’s got another story she wants his help with—which will almost certainly draw more ire from Jerry Gorsch (recurring guest star Steven Boyer)—or she really is interested in Casey on a personal level.

That both A) seems fast considering that she only recently met him and B) would definitely be a bold move for Chicago Fire, given that the Dawsey marriage is just a few episodes cold.

After all the time and effort the show put into that ship, it’d be very quick for Casey to be thrown even into any kind of flirtation. But fans will have to see the episode to find out what Naomi actually wants.

“All The Proof” is also going to keep fleshing out the character of Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh). The show has played it fairly coy about Foster’s history so far, dropping little hints here and there, but this is the first time someone from her past will have more than a scene in an episode.

Teddy Sears (whom One Chicago fans may recognize from his role on 24: Legacy and The Flash) is arriving as the new chaplain, Kyle. Kyle has some kind of history with Foster, and photos from this episode show that she’s happy to see him arrive. So it can’t be terrible history.

Are they exes, which seem to pop up often around here? Old friends, like what Chicago Fire has done already this season with Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo)? Or something else? Whatever it is, he could provide valuable clarity on her character for fans.

That is, assuming that Foster makes it out of the episode’s obligatory Halloween case. Watch a clip from this episode below then tune into the full Chicago Fire installment tonight to see what happens next:
