Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD ratings are in for the latest episodes. Here’s the Oct. 31 edition of the One Chicago Ratings Report.

With another week of the One Chicago season in the books, it’s time for another look at the franchise’s TV ratings with the One Chicago Ratings Report.

This week Chicago Med, Chicago PD and Chicago Fire had the awkward distinction of airing new episodes on a holiday. Granted, Halloween is not as big a holiday as others, but many people still have plans on the evening.

So how much of an impact did that have on the TV ratings for our three shows?

There was some decrease in the live viewership numbers, but not much. In fact, the One Chicago franchise powered NBC to becoming the most-watched network on Wednesday night!

With live sports off the schedule for the first time in a few weeks, regular programs were all that was on tap this Wednesday. Audiences responded by giving NBC the most live viewers.

Starting off the night, Chicago Med had 7.69 million watchers live (down 0.06 from last week, or about 60,000).

It also slipped from 1.3 down to 1.1 among that adults 18-49 group. But that was still good enough to put Med in second place in total viewers.

Chicago Fire reclaimed its spot as the most-viewed One Chicago series this week. It actually gained live audience members, going from 7.65 million to 7.91 million (up 0.26, or 260,000).

The show had the most total viewers out of the 15 programs that aired on broadcast TV for the night, but tied for second place in the demo with FOX‘s music drama Empire.

What about Chicago PD, which has been struggling a bit lately? It also experienced a rise in its live audience, going from 6.65 to 6.95 million (up 0.30, or about 300,000 people).

It’s still lagging behind the other two series, but that made it the fourth most-viewed program of the night overall and tied it for fifth place in the demo alongside Chicago Med. That’s a slight uptick in both categories.

That’s encouraging news—now can the show sustain that and get itself up into the 7 million area where the other part of the franchise has stabilized? If it can do that, then NBC would have a near lock on Wednesday nights. Fingers crossed, and hopefully you had a happy Halloween!
