The Chicago Fire midseason finale is putting the usual characters front and center, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s episode is called “Always A Catch,” which naturally prompts the question of what the catch is and who’s going to be caught by it. Given how things have unfolded at Firehouse 51 so far this season, it could be just about anybody!

Paramedics Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) and Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh) will find themselves in over their heads with another big call, but considering they’ve already had a few of those, what’s going to make this one different? Is Foster going to pull out another trick or another reveal from her past?

Plus, Stellaride fans will want to brace themselves for trouble in paradise. Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) have another speed bump coming their way. Let’s hope it’s not another health scare, given that we’ve already seen Stella in the ED and Severide’s father die.

Whatever happens, the same characters who have gotten the bulk of the drama in Chicago Fire season 7 are getting more of it on Thursday.
