Chicago Med midseason finale preview: Death Do Us Part
What should fans watch for in the Chicago Med fall finale? Get ready for tonight’s episode with our Chicago Med season 4, episode 9 preview.
As fans prepare for the Chicago Med midseason finale, everyone’s anticipating the big wedding but there’s a lot more to keep an eye on.
Understandably, One Chicago fans are focused on Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) as they’re getting married after three and a half seasons that took them from friends to, hopefully, spouses.
But odds are good that there will be complications with the wedding, given the whole franchise’s history of giving its relationships plenty of drama.
And those won’t be the only issues for Chicago Med to contend with since the rest of the hospital staff are still going to have patients to treat before they can make it to the church.

“Death Do Us Part” will also put the spotlight on Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell). The synopsis for the episode says he’ll be operating on someone who is important to Will’s brother Jay (Jesse Lee Soffer).
It’s not that hard to figure out that someone either is or is connected to Ray Price, the gangster Will was treating and who’s had heart problems since he was introduced. Connor, as a cardiothoracic surgeon, is going to be pulled into that storyline—and he’s not as nice as Will can be. How’s he going to react under the pressure?

If Jay or that no-nonsense FBI agent try to push him like they’ve done to Will, Connor is going to have no problem giving them a piece of his mind. At the same time, no one wants to see him getting threats from Ray’s two trigger-happy sons, either.
In fact, this storyline could use to be wrapped up by now—and this is an easy way to do it. Either Ray/dude connected to Ray has a successful surgery and gets busted, or he dies on the table (the latter being more likely since, again, Chicago Med often goes for the more dramatic option).
Plus, the rest of the Emergency Department has their hands full since people are picking up the slack while Will and Natalie prepare for their big day.
