Great news for Chicago Fire fans as we now have the first An Acceptable Loss trailer, and you can watch it right here!
An Acceptable Loss is written and directed by Joe Chappelle, who’s a director and former executive producer on Chicago Fire. He’s directed plenty of episodes of the show, most recently last season’s “The Unrivaled Standard.”
His new movie is a political thriller about a former national security operative who ends up in the crosshairs of the people she once worked for. Tika Sumpter plays that character, while Jamie Lee Curtis stars as her former boss turned adversary.
One Chicago fans will want to check out the trailer immediately because three Chicago Fire actors have roles in An Acceptable Loss, and all of them can be seen in this trailer.

Jeff Hephner (Jeff Clarke), David Eigenberg (Christopher Herrmann) and Alex Weisman (Chout) are all featured in the movie.
Hephner is particularly intriguing here, going the opposite direction of Clarke to play a political figure who definitely doesn’t seem on the up-and-up.
There’s also a snippet of a great scene between Eigenberg and Sumpter’s characters, that involves his character confronting hers in front of everyone at a high-profile event.

Joe Chappelle is the best director that Chicago Fire has had so far, so An Acceptable Loss will definitely be worth watching for his skills not only as a director but also as the screenwriter.
When you add in that he’s recruited multiple One Chicago actors to fill out his cast, and it looks like they’re giving some great performances, there’s every reason to catch An Acceptable Loss when it arrives next month. It’s got a solid plot, an interesting ensemble, and fans can support Chicago Fire alumni, too.
