What should fans watch for in Chicago Med’s midseason premiere? Get ready for tonight’s episode with our Chicago Med season 4, episode 10 preview.

The Chicago Med midseason premiere has finally arrived, so One Chicago fans can find out what’s going to happen to Manstead—but that’s not all to watch for in tonight’s episode.

Obviously, the question many viewers want answered is what’s happening with Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss), whose wedding day turned into him being ushered into witness protection.

Promos released before this episode spoiled that Will comes back to the hospital, so that’s not a concern. The real issue is what things will be like when he returns.

Will this be the definitive end of the gangster storyline that played out over most of the season so far? It would be an easy place to stop—to say Will did whatever he had to do and so gets to come home.

Or will the show continue to pull that storyline out, like it did with the Robert Haywood plot last season? It’s hard to see how, but this wouldn’t be the first time that a plotline on this series has gone on longer than it should.

Fans should also ask how much tension this will put in the Manstead relationship. Realistically, Will could not just come back and be fine; he should have some side effects from what he’s been through.

And so should Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto), who now knows he was hiding things from her and they ruined their wedding day.

But how deeply will the writers explore that, or will they wrap it up by the end of this episode in favor of giving the fans a happy couple?

“All The Lonely People” isn’t forgetting that there are other people at Chicago Med, too. Things are going to get troublesome for April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta); find out why by watching our exclusive sneak peek from this episode. Her storyline includes a guest appearance by Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) from Chicago PD.

April’s gotten a lot of screen time so far this season, but it’s all been in relation to her ex-boyfriend and frequent work partner Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and Choi’s since-departed sister Emily (Arden Cho). It would be great to see this episode start something where she takes the lead, without the plot necessarily having to tie into her relationship (or former relationship).
