Patti Murin is giving us The Bachelor recap we needed
The Bachelor just got a lot more interesting, because Chicago Med’s Patti Murin is contributing her thoughts to The Bachelor season 23 premiere.
Chicago Med fans might have to start watching The Bachelor this season, because Patti Murin is giving her thoughts on The Bachelor season 23 for People—and we have the video of her season premiere recap!
Fans know that Patti is a longtime fan of the reality dating show; she has written about it on her blog and live-tweets the episodes on Twitter. This season is particularly special for her, because star Colton Underwood is a friend of hers.
Given all that it’s no surprise that People asked her to participate in their coverage of The Bachelor when it premiered last week. You can play the video at the bottom of this article to see both Patti Murin and The Bachelor alum Corinne Olympios (Corinne also appeared on the spin-off Bachelor in Paradise) join the People team to break down the events of the Jan. 7 season premiere.
Sometimes TV recaps can be pretty dry, but this video shows off how witty and smart Patti is; she has some great observations, and they’re not just funny but also honest about the women who’re vying for Colton’s attention. Even if you don’t watch The Bachelor or don’t like reality TV, you’ll want to see this video just for what she brings to the table.
The good news is we could be seeing a lot of Patti in 2019. In addition to this guest spot, she continues to star as Princess Anna in Disney’s hit musical Frozen: The Broadway Musical, which was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical last year.

And producers Andrew Schneider and Diane Frolov confirmed she’ll return to Chicago Med as Dr. Nina Shore later this season, so fans will get more of our favorite pathologist. (What would Nina think of everything her ex-boyfriend Will Halstead has been through?)
Watch Patti Murin’s The Bachelor premiere recap below, and stay tuned to People Now as they’ll have coverage of the complete season—hopefully with a lot more Patti!
New episodes of The Bachelor air Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
