There’s an awful lot of action coming in the latest Chicago PD, as proven by the official photos that NBC has released to promote Wednesday’s episode.
Wednesday’s installment is called “The Forgotten,” which is not to be confused with the short-lived ABC series of the same name, or that movie starring Julianne Moore. But there’s some very grim stuff happening here, at least if you look at the promotional images, which wouldn’t feel out of place in a Halloween episode.
Most of the pictures seem to be taken from the same sequence, in which the Intelligence Unit are investigating some sort of half-finished or half-demolished building. Who are they searching for? It’s not revealed, but it has to be serious if the entire squad is part of the manhunt.
But if you scroll all the way through, you’ll find the biggest question of all: why does it look like the perpetrator has been keeping somebody in a cage?! This case of the week is definitely one of the more dark Chicago PD stories, and especially since there was another one of those two weeks ago with “Ties That Bind”, it seems like the season is taking a rough turn.
And what’s Detective Delaney (guest star Steve Silver) doing here? Will he help the investigation or get in the way? Audiences will have to tune in this week and find out, but this appears to be a huge mess.
